How it works
Social insurance contributions fund old-age retirement pensions, disability coverage, work-injury compensation, and unemployment insurance. Because each country defines its own insurable wage base, statutory floor and ceiling, and split between employee deduction and employer contribution, this calculator incorporates the official 2026 social security rules for Saudi Arabia (Saudi nationals and expatriates), Egypt, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan.

How Estimated Retirement Pension Is Calculated
Under standard defined-benefit pension formulas in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, your expected monthly retirement pension is computed using the accrual formula:
Estimated Monthly Pension = Insurable Wage × 2.25% (or 2.5%) × Years of Contribution
The calculator automatically caps the estimated pension at 100% of the insurable wage ceiling so you can see how additional years of service increase your retirement income.
A Saudi private-sector employee earns a basic salary of 8,000 SAR and a housing allowance of 2,000 SAR (total insurable wage = 10,000 SAR) with 25 planned years of service:
- Employee Monthly Deduction (9.75%): 10,000 × 9.75% = 975.00 SAR.
- Net Take-Home Salary after GOSI: 10,000 − 975 = 9,025.00 SAR.
- Employer Monthly Contribution (11.75%): 10,000 × 11.75% = 1,175.00 SAR.
- Total Monthly GOSI Remittance (21.50%): 2,150.00 SAR.
- Estimated Monthly Retirement Pension after 25 Years: 10,000 × 2.25% × 25 = 5,625.00 SAR/month.
Egypt’s Annual 15% Insurable Wage Band Escalation
Under Egypt’s Unified Social Insurance Law No. 148 of 2019, the minimum and maximum insurable wage brackets increase by 15% every January. For 2026, the minimum insurable wage is 2,700 EGP and the maximum insurable wage is 16,700 EGP. Any salary above 16,700 EGP is exempt from the 11% employee social insurance deduction, though it remains subject to progressive income tax.
